Where Project OWL uses AI, what it is allowed to do, and what it will always refuse.
Where AI is used
Ask OWL answers general safety questions, and the OWL Scanner highlights known grooming or scam language patterns in text you paste in. Nothing else on the site is AI-generated at run time.
Hard limits
AI features never accuse a named person, never state that an offence has occurred, never produce a risk score about an individual, and never give legal or medical advice. Anything urgent is routed to a human service.
Human oversight
Safeguarding guidance, alerts and directory entries are written and reviewed by people. AI does not publish content to this site.
Your data
Text you paste into an AI tool is used to produce that answer only. Do not paste a child’s private messages, images, or identifying details.
Accuracy
AI output can be wrong. Treat it as a prompt to think, not a conclusion, and check anything important against the official sources we link to.
